After an appearance in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie earlier this year, Star Fox fans have been wondering when we would see Fox Mcloud return to videos games. Today, in a surprise direct Nintendo answered that question.

The direct offers a deep-dive into this remake, confirming remodelled characters to make them even more animal like, new mission briefings, mouse controls and more. You should definitely watch it yourself if you haven’t already.

I must say everything that was shown looks fantastic, and thankfully we don’t have long to wait until release. Star Fox will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25th, 2026.
