Earlier today, developer Bloober Team finally revealed the release date for their time-bending, sci-fi horror Cronos: The New Dawn. However, where it was revealed might be more surprising than the announcement itself.
During today’s Nintendo Switch 2 direct, we saw a new story trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn ending with the release date of September 5th 2025 (with 48-hour early access for pre-orders on selected platforms).
Alongside Cronos’ release date, Bloober also announced the details and pre-order kick-off of digital and physical editions to launch on September 5th. Digital pre-orders are now live across the storefronts of all major platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. While physical editions for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, produced in partnership with Americas physical distributor Skybound Games, are also now available for pre-order at select retailers including GameStop and Amazon.
On PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, players can choose between two digital editions:
Standard Edition ($59.99 USD)
Deluxe Edition – which includes 48-hour early access on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. ($69.99 USD)
On Nintendo Switch 2, the game will be available for digital pre-order in the Standard Edition only ($59.99 USD).
Physical editions from Skybound Games for PS5 ($59.99 USD) will include a unique Traveler skin and access to a cache of valuable digital supplies, along with a set of collectible physical stickers inspired by the haunting world of Cronos. PS5 physical editions will include a Standard Edition game disc.
