Joining a reawakened Penitent One in an unfamiliar and unforgiving land, Blasphemous 2 follows on from the events of Blasphemous’ 2021 Update Wounds of Eventide, and thrusts players back into the endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection.
The Miracle has returned, the birth of a prophetic new miracle child has been foretold, and it once again falls to The Penitent One to explore a strange world, defeat grotesque monstrosities, and give everything to stop the prophecy from coming to pass. Featuring three unique weapons to acquire and master, and an enhanced skillset to choose from, players will have to use these new tools to survive long enough to deliver judgment to all who stand in their way. As they make their way towards the inevitable final confrontation, they’ll pick up pieces of scattered lore, and unpick long forgotten secrets of a new and punishing world as they cheat death time and time again.
