While Sony has been somewhat tight-lipped on the details surrounding its successor to the wildly popular PlayStation 4, they put almost all their cards on the table today during a live stream event showcasing not just the upcoming console’s unique look, but the library you can expect to start playing on the console when it launches this fall and beyond.

While years have come and gone since the movie was released, it was during a Man of Steel watch-a-long that Zack Snyder confirmed that a Snyder cut will be released on HBO Max in 2021, as either a 4-hour cut of the movie or split into an episodic television series.

Ruby Rose announced today that she would not be returning to the role of Kate Kane, aka Batwoman when the show picks up next January for its second season. While no exact reason was given for her departure, it was stated that her injury during season one was not part of her exit.

While the official gameplay reveal is still a ways off, we were treated to a cinematic trailer detailing an epic war between a tribe of Vikings and an opposing force, looking to respond in a way they feel the Vikings would understand; War. The trailer is rather impressive with one very cool stand out moment that reinforces this as an Assassin’s Creed game.

Google Stadia dropped a live stream today to discuss the future of the platform. It’s also been no secret that Google Stadia has been struggling hard and the stream went on without addressing it, leaving fans to wonder if Google has heard their cries for exclusive new games and updates to the service.

While fans of The Last of Us Part 2 have been waiting for Naughty Dog to issue a concrete release date, especially have numerous delays and from concerns of the coronavirus pandemic, June 19th has been revealed as the official final release date, or at the very least a somewhat firm date. But this isn’t the only news regarding the long-awaited sequel; Last of Us Part 2 has leaked online, ending and all.

In a post via the official Japanese Nintendo website, Nintendo claims that hackers have been able to access an estimated 160,000 accounts through the Nintendo Network ID Login method. This allowed the unknown group to access user and password data for Nintendo Network ID’s, also know as NNID. They then used the information to gain access to 160,000 user accounts, making purchases through the saved card or Paypal information on the account.

In a surprise drop on a random Tuesday, Sony has revealed the look and features of the next generation controller for its upcoming PlayStation 5 console. With the “DualSense” controller, the line of “Dual Shock” has seemingly come to an end. The controller, available in two initial color schemes, will launch alongside the PlayStation 5 later this year.

Marvelous Europe is today excited to announce that DEAD OR SCHOOL, a fast-paced, side-scrolling adventure from Studio Nanafushi is coming to the West on 13th March 2020 for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. This 2.5D zombie-infested adventure will be released in North America and Europe.

Joining the likes of the Final Fantasy VII remake and SquareEnix’s The Avengers game, CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will also be delayed and released later in the year. The massive open-world sci-fi adventure title based on tabletop RPG of the same name was originally set to release in April, a month stacked with a ton of big releases already and will now release this coming September 17th.

A new character for Smash Bros. Ultimate was revealed today and leading up to this early morning announcement, many fans had all sorts of predictions going into it. Everyone from Travis Touchdown to Dante from Devil May Cry, to new Fire Emblem to Pokemon characters were only some of the guesses or wishes that many people had.

UK Studio has announced that not only are we getting Zombie Army 4: The Dead War in just a few short weeks, but we are also going to get our Zombie killing hands on the Zombie Army Trilogy on Switch as well, release in the first half of 2020.

Nintendo kicked off 2020 with a Nintendo Direct exclusively for its Pokemon series of games today detailing around 20 minutes of information. This including a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, the long-awaited Pokemon Home, and an expansion pass for Sword and Shield.

With 2020 about to explode with a sea of Game of the Year worthy titles, my first real contender is the sequel to the Zombie Army Trilogy in Zombie Army 4: Dead War. The title releases in just under a month on February 4th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.  

The Game Awards are far from being the only outlet for seeing the best games of the year get their due, but it is by far the most prestigious. It’s also an outlet for showing off new footage of highly anticipated games, as well as the few world exclusive looks at brand new never before seen future releases.

Sony wrapped up 2019 with a series of announcements with a December State of Play today, revealing that the leaked Resident Evil 3 is, in fact, real, and will include the multiplayer spin-off, Resistance. We also got an update on long-awaited 1st party Sony title, some DLC for Kingdom hearts, and much more.

This week, Valve did something that fans have wanted for years; announced it’s making a new Half-Life game. However, it’s not what many were expecting. Titled Half-LIfe: Alyx, the game will take place between the events of the first two games and will be a VR only title releasing next March for nearly all PC applicable headsets.

Among the recent news of The Last of Us: Part 2 and Bloodlines seeing a delay, Watch Dogs Legion will also see a delay from its early 2020 date. While a new date was not announced, it joins a few other Ubisoft titles in having their release dates pushed back.

Just being announced a few weeks ago, Sony revealed that The Last of Us: Part 2 would release this coming February. This release date was much anticipated and fans were happy to know that it was only a few months away. Those dreams; however, were shattered today as Naughty Dog’s creative director, Neil Druckmann announced that the sequel will now release on May 29th, 2020.

Hardsuit Labs has recently announced that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will see delay from Q1 2020 to “sometime in 2020”. While a new date has not been announced per this statement, it’s possible we may hear more details via PDXCON on Saturday, October 21st. The developer has also stated they will hold a Reddit AMA the following Sunday to aid in answering several fan questions.
