Warhammer Skulls event brings the goods!

For the second year in a row, Games Workshop has brought us an E3-like event that showcases its upcoming assortment of games and those that are actively still ongoing. At this event, called Warhammer Skulls, we were treated to 13 main announcements, everything from new games, updates on existing favorites, and new details on a lot of the most anticipated releases to come.


Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

Rogue Trader is an RPG set in the Warhammer 40k universe. Developed by Owlcat Games, the studio behind the Pathfinder series, Rogue Trader brings with it an isometric camera, recruitable companions, turn-based combat, and all the fantastical lore, environments, and Warhammer baddies you can kill. No release date was given, but you can get set for your adventure via a Founder’s Pack that grants access to both an Alpha build as well as any future Beta’s as well.


Warhammer 40,000: Bolt Gun

Shown off via a live action trailer, and then bleeding into what seems like Warhammer meets OG Doom, Warhammer 40k: Bolt Gun is a tribute to that classic 90’s FPS. It’s coming to pretty much everything from PC to console, to Switch, so check out this impressive trailer that will certainly bring a smile to your face.


Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

At Skulls, we were treated to an update video showcasing the actors, team, and passion behind Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2. It’s a pretty quick video that showcases some action, so take a look at the trailer for more details!


Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge

Developed by Everguild, who are the creators of Horus Heresy: Legions, is Warpforge, a Warhammer 40,000 card game. The title will see a release on both PC and Mobile sometime in 2023. Warpforge is your typical CCG that is built around all factions present in the ever-expanding 40K universe. This includes the Imperium, Chaos, Necron, Orks, Tyranids, and Aeldari. Each faction has its own campaign, and you can take to its online modes to combat your friends.


Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Darktide is releasing pretty damn soon on September 13th, and developer Fatshark has dropped a new cinematic trailer to get you even more excited for it.


Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters

Chaos Gate has been well received, and developer, Complex Games, has released a new accolades trailer to showcase how well the game has done. And, alongside the trailer, a new weapon has been added to the game in honor of the Warhammer Skulls event; the Ward Osseus. Check out the trailer.


Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef

A trailer trailer has released for the 2D shooter, Warhammer 40K: Shootas, Blood & Teef. And, the game finally has a release date for October 20, 2022. It will be available on pretty much everything as you can find it on PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X/S, Switch, and PC. A newly updated demo is also available on Steam and will unlock the Weirdboy Class.


Warhammer: Vermintide 2: Be’lakor Chaos Waste Expansion

If you thought Fatshark was done with Vermintide 2, you would be mistaken as a free update for the game will release on June 14th.


Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector

Slitherine Software has announced that Warhammer 40k: Battlesector will receive a new Faction Pack DLC in the form of the Sisters of Battle. The Sisters of Battle DLC will bring these characters in as a full faction. There will also be an update to the game that adds a new endless horde mode called Daemonic Incursion.


Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr

If like myself, you enjoyed Inquisitor: Martyr, you can now enjoy it in all its glory on the PS5 and Series X/S as the game has seen an update to take advantage of the new generation of consoles. The new next-gen version will include all 25 DLC packs and expansions, as well as 4K support, higher resolution textures, and improvements to physics and destructible environments. It will also feature cross-gen multiplayer, and Dual Sense support as well.


Warhammer: World of Tanks

Wargaming and Games Workshop have collaborated on the World of Tanks Battle pass for Season VIII, adding Ultramarines, Death Guard, and Evil Sunz Orks themed rewards.


Warhammer Mobile

Pre-registration has been announced for Tacticus, a new update for Horus Heresy: Legions, and the Cursed City is being added to Warhammer Quest. We will also see new updates, modes, and factions added to Lost Crusade, as well as Chaos Knights being added to Combat Cards, along with Soul Arena being updated with Captain Avalenor.


Total War: Warhammer 3: Immortal Empires

Developed by the amazing Creative Assembly, the team will collect all three of its Total War: Warhammer games together to create a huge campaign with every single faction present and accounted for. Immortal Empires is set to enter into an open beta early in Q3 2022, so stay tuned. Until then, here is a new trailer.


Blood Bowl 3

Nacon and Cyanide Studios have announced a beta date for the upcoming Blood Bowl 3. From now until June 12th, on Steam. Six factions will be available in the Beta; Black Orcs, Imperial Nobility, Elven Union, Dwarfs, Chaos Renegades, and Old World Alliance. The Chaos Renegades and the Old World Alliance are new teams, never before seen in the series. They are also made up of existing members of other teams.
