Outriders suffers another delay, offers upcoming demo.

Bulletstorm developer, People Can Fly, has been hard at work on their upcoming game in Outriders, a Shooter/RPG that was originally supposed to release last year. The game was then delayed to come out at the start of 2021 but has now seen one “final” delay to April 1st. No Joke.

With the delay now pushing the game to the start of April, a demo has been announced to reach players on February 25th, allowing them to get hands-on with the co-op shooter, a game that feels like a live service game but is simply just going to a game that releases with its full assortment of content at once.

The delay, as posted on the game’s official Twitter account, has said it plans to spend the next few months “fine-tuning the game and focusing on delivering a fantastic play experience at launch.” Now, with the pandemic hitting the world over, delays have become the name of the game considering the shift of development needing to see many of its workforce working from home, so this isn’t really a shock to see such a high profile game for the studio see a somewhat short delay.

The February demo sees players try out the game’s opening few hours and will grant access to all four classes; Trickster, Pyromancer, Technomancer, and Devastator. The demo can be played in single player or in three player co-op. The demo, which starts the game off right from the start, will allow players to transfer that progress over to the main game.

“We believe it’s important that players get to experience a new IP like Outriders before release, so that you can decide for yourselves whether the game is something you wish to pre-order, purchase or play.”

Outriders will be releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
