Cyberpunk delayed until September 2020

Joining the likes of the Final Fantasy VII remake and SquareEnix’s The Avengers game, CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will also be delayed and released later in the year. The massive open-world sci-fi adventure title based on tabletop RPG of the same name was originally set to release in April, a month stacked with a ton of big releases already and will now release this coming September 17th.

As is the case with everything, the announcement was made on their official twitter account detailing the reason for the delay as seen below.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the studio’s long-awaited followup to The Witcher 3, which is one of the games currently making the rounds as several outlet’s “Game of the Decade” and winner of over 250 gaming awards. The title also saw a late 2019 release on the Nintendo Switch.
