Jordan Andow

Hi, I’m Jordan!

I am an advocate for gaming accessibility and co-owner of Analog Stick Gaming. You may know me from my work over at theouterhaven.net where I’ve been writing reviews since 2022.

An interesting fact about me you might not know is that I have a background in game development. I love video games, from creating, playing, writing, and even podcasting about them.

From an early age, I’ve always been around gaming thanks to having older siblings. The first game I really remember playing is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a game that will forever be one of my favourites. After playing on the N64 for a couple of years, I quickly moved on to the Sega Dreamcast, which became my favourite console at the time. This is in part to it being the home of two of my top ten all-time list; Shenmue and its sequel Shenmue 2. These games made me the gamer I am today, someone who values story, characters, and excessive levels of immersion. In 1999 and 2001, respectively, these were the most immersive games I’d played at the time.

After the Dreamcast, I moved on to the PS2 which just further cemented my love of single-player narrative-heavy experiences such as Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. In the mid-2000’s I changed as a gamer somewhat because my favourite console of all time, the Xbox 360, hit the scene and brought along with it my first taste of online multiplayer gaming through Gears of War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and more!

I’m a gaming jack of all trades and master of some (hopefully) you might say, and I just want as many people to have access to the joy of gaming as the way I do.
